About the role
The System Administrator supports the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems; manages daily IT system activities; and identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems related to client/server/storage/network and mobile devices.
Responsibilities
- Supports implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Manages daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems related to client/server/storage/network and mobile devices
- Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Optimizes system operations and resource utilization
- Performs system capacity analysis and planning
Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher
Required Skills
- Experience with DevOps and AWS
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems; install/load OS software
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components
- Implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization
- Perform system capacity analysis and planning
