About the role

The position requires an Active Top Secret SCI with Fullscope Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Supports implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manages IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
  • Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Communicates status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Supports the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
  • Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.
  • Implements operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, performs system capacity analysis and planning, and provides detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Proven experience working with both Linux and Windows-based systems.
  • Hands-on expertise in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting these operating systems.
  • Familiarity with system administration tasks across both platforms.
  • The candidate must have an Active Top Secret SCI with Fullscope Polygraph clearance.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • In lieu of a degree, five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted.

Skills

  • IAT-II security certification or equivalent (Security+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, SSCP, etc.).
