System Administrator 1

Amentum is seeking a System Administrator to provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Supports day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and other IT systems.
• Handles Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Communicates status updates to agency management and internal customers.
• Supports dispatch systems and hardware problem resolution.
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems, installs/loads software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.
• Implements operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Adheres to safety, quality, and procedure compliance policies.

Requirements

• Good understanding of Windows and Linux as an end user.
• Active TS/SCI Poly clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or 5 additional years of experience for a total of 12 years in lieu of a degree).
• Five years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M (IAT Level II certification minimum).

Pay

$130,000 – $160,000 (varies based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable laws).
