About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Syndication Vice President within the Commercial Banking Syndications team. In this role, you will collaborate with deal teams to develop pitch materials to win new mandates and maintain portfolio leads. You will execute the syndication marketing process, including preparation and distribution of information memorandums and presentations for potential investors. You will communicate with external lending partners on opportunities, including discussions of lender appetite and assisting with due diligence. You will partner with deal teams and internal operations to manage the execution and closing processes, and participate in loan market research tasks. This role includes direct interaction with lending partners and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with deal teams to develop pitch materials to win new mandates and maintain portfolio leads
  • Execute the syndication marketing process, including preparation and distribution of information memorandums and presentations for potential investors
  • Communicate with external lending partners on opportunities, including discussions of lender appetite and assisting with due diligence
  • Partner with deal teams and internal operations to manage the execution and closing processes; and
  • Participate in loan market research tasks

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Client Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math or Economics (or MBA)
  • Experience in loan syndications, debt capital markets, private debt markets or structured finance
  • Experience in investment banking or corporate banking
  • Front office or credit experience at a major firm with a focus in finance
  • Completion of a formal credit training program
  • Credit underwriting experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • High level of personal motivation

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel 20%

Additional Information

Visa sponsorship is not available for this opportunity. US only: Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition, state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance. Obtaining FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses, or equivalent must be completed within 180-days of date of hire if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Information will be shared about expectations during the recruitment process. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required.
