About the role
The Soccer Coach will serve 6th-12th Grade students at Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School (GFACS), a mission-driven school committed to advancing educational justice for refugee and immigrant youth. Reporting to the School Leader, this is a 10-month, exempt position.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead effective soccer practices and games.
- Teach soccer fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive team environment.
- Communicate with students, parents, and school staff.
- Ensure compliance with school and athletic policies.
- Maintain equipment and assist with program administration as needed.

Essential Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree preferred.
- Previous soccer coaching or competitive playing experience.
- Knowledge of soccer rules, skills, and game strategies.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Successful completion of required background checks.
