About the role
This is a 10-month, exempt position serving 6th-12th Grade students at Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School (GFACS).
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, symptoms, needs, and overall condition.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer nursing care to patients who are ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by authorized healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and families to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families.
- Follow established clinical procedures, safety standards, and infection-control protocols.
- Support case management activities when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, facility policies, and professional nursing standards.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license or registration as required by state or jurisdiction.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and medical documentation procedures.
- Able to assess patient needs and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

- Excellent command of the English language with a passion for supporting expressive language in non-native speakers.

Salary is Based on Years of Direct K-12 Experience and Degree Held.
