The Role

Nuasin Next Generation Charter School seeks motivated, mission-aligned individuals to join our team. We provide our scholars and families in the Highbridge section of the Bronx with an excellent education.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Principal in managing the school
• Provides leadership to professional staff in developing short and long-range plans for the school
• Assumes duties of the Principal in absence and as assigned
• Meets with parents to discuss scholar behavioral or learning opportunities
• Responds to disciplinary issues in conjunction with the Director of School Culture
• Supervises and evaluates the performance of designated personnel
• Promotes a safe school environment
• Manages all school assessments
• Collaborates with the School Leadership Team to improve personal practice, classroom instruction, assessment, and scholar achievement
• Develops and leads a high-quality testing preparation program for ELA and Math State testing
• Models Nuasin Next Generation professional and core values
• Coordinates and manages professional development sessions
• Facilitates interim assessment data debriefs with teachers
• Leads professional development on areas defined by the strategic plan and other data points

Requirements

Experience, education, and certifications will be considered in determining the salary offered to a successful candidate. The anticipated salary range is $70,000.00 to $130,000.00 for a candidate working in New York City.

Pay

The anticipated salary range is $70,000.00 to $130,000.00 for a candidate working in New York City. The salary offered will be dependent on several factors including years of experience, education, and certifications.

Nuasin Next Generation Charter School operates Monday through Friday, with varying schedules based on the position and department.
