Job Summary

The Town of Prosper is currently accepting applications for: CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER. Entry Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $95,524.18. Lateral entry available depending on qualifications up to step 4.

Responsibilities

This position performs law enforcement and crime prevention work; to control traffic flow and enforce State and local traffic regulations; to perform investigative work and other special assignments; and to perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of the Department. This is a sworn position.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Peace Officer License/Certification in the United States.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

• Do you currently hold a valid Texas driver's license or are you able to obtain one by date of employment?

• Have you ever served in the military?
• If you served in the military, did you receive a DD214 or other military discharge document with honorable discharge or other discharge that would not bar future enlistment?

• Have you ever been convicted of family violence?
• Have you illegally consumed a felony grade drug within the last five years?
