As a Switchboard Operator, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. Join our collaborative Switchboard team that keeps our hospital connected 24/7. Operators are trusted to manage high call volumes, assist patients and visitors, and support staff communication across the organization.

How You'll Contribute

• Operates the telephone switchboard and routes calls to appropriate personnel.
• Announces necessary codes with accuracy and implements emergency response and Rapid Response teams utilizing electronic methods.
• Prompts reports all alarm variances to the security or facilities department as appropriate.
• Exercises sound judgment in the process and issuance of code requests to include assessing severity, type, authenticity, etc.
• Announces all codes in a timely, clear, and calm manner.
• Obtains all necessary information from callers.

What We're Looking For

• Applicants should have previous experience in a customer service role and possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years' experience in a customer service role required.
• Experience utilizing multi-line switchboard in a healthcare environment preferred.
