Position Responsibilities
- Receives and responds to in-bound phone calls; directs callers to appropriate agencies within the City/County.
- Responds to inquiries and requests for information from other agencies and members of the public.
- Responsible for resolving customer questions/complaints.
- Ensures proper routing of information to appropriate agencies.
- Provides current status of previous requests and follow up to customers' requests.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally, verbally, and in written formats.
- Attention to detail is a priority.
- Requires great customer service skills and ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
Preferred Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Clerical experience in a court or similar legal setting.
Physical Conditions
- Sitting at a desk the majority of the day.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10) pounds.
- Extended periods of time at keyboard or workstation.
- The ability to perceive and hear sounds and see visual cues or signals.
- The ability to communicate orally.
Compensation and Benefits
- Essential functions are regularly performed in an office setting without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
