About the role
Health Partners of Western Ohio is an independent, non-profit organization serving low-income areas and places without access to care. We're led by a volunteer Board of Directors, most of whom are also patients. Our mission is to eliminate gaps in health outcomes for all community members by providing access to quality, affordable, preventive, and primary health care.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, greet callers, provide information, transfer calls, or take messages as necessary.
- Operate communication systems, such as telephone and switchboard.
- Page individuals to inform them of telephone calls, using paging or interoffice communication equipment.
- Relay or route written or verbal messages.
- Place telephone calls or arrange conference calls as instructed.
- Perform various data entry or word processing tasks, such as typing or proofreading documents, or creating schedules.
- Process incoming or outgoing mail, packages, or deliveries.
- Accept orders, schedule appointments or meeting rooms, or send and receive faxes.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities.
- Record messages on IVR, suggesting rewording for clarity or conciseness.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of in-house training.
- Speak English and Spanish.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Records preferred.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
