Switchboard Operator
Major Responsibilities
- Answers phones and routes incoming calls to appropriate offices or personnel.
- Dispatch emergency Code calls to clinical personnel.
- Processes paperwork in an efficient manner according to set procedures.
- This includes proper filing and distribution of clinical on-call schedules and wireless devices.
- Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities:
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
Position Qualifications
- All responsibilities are essential job functions.
- Licenses/Certifications/Educations: Required - High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred - Medical Terminology certified or equivalent experience.
- Experience/Skills: Required - Must have knowledge and experience with MS Office products (specifically EXCEL). Must have accurate keyboarding skills. Good verbal and written communication skills to include proper vocabulary, spelling, grammar and sentence structure. Good customer service skills. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Preferred - Previous operator/switchboard and customer service experience.
Physical Demands And Environmental Conditions
- Work is considered sedentary.
- Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.

Qualifications
Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
Pay
Hiring Range: $15.00 - $27.00 The final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Schedule Details: Sunday through Saturday Scheduled Hours: Mixed Shifts as needed Shift: 4 - Mixed Shift, 8.5 Hours (United States of America)
