Switchboard Operator

About the role

The Switchboard Operator / Receptionist is responsible for answering the switchboard and pages overhead, greets and directs people to the appropriate departments. The Switchboard Operator monitors the Hospital alarms and must be aware of the policy and procedures of all hospital emergency codes. Ability to communicate with population served.

Responsibilities

• Answering the switchboard and pages overhead
• Greet and direct people to the appropriate departments
• Maintain communication with the hospital's population
• Monitor the Hospital alarms and adhere to emergency codes
• Communicate effectively with the population served

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous Operator experience preferred
• Previous experience in office or receptionist
• Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Customer Services experience preferred

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $17.05 to $24.05. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.

Schedule

Full-time, Days, 7am-3:30pm, alternating weekends and holidays
