Why Join Us Be an integral part of hospital safety and communication operationsWork in a collaborative environment that supports your growth and impactPlay a critical role in patient and team member safety behind the scene What You'll Do Operate a computerized switchboard console to manage internal and external callsMonitor critical hospital systems including the fire panel, blood bank, oxygen panel, and elevatorsRespond to emergencies and initiate appropriate routing and alert protocolsMaintain calm and professionalism during high-pressure situationsEnsure timely and accurate communication with staff, departments, and emergency services Qualifications What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience: Minimum of one year experience as switchboard operator, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Must be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be flexible and able to respond to changing priorities in a fast paced environment. Must demonstrate ability to type at least 30 wpm. Manual dexterity necessary to operate computerized switchboard console and keyboard. Ability to work alone during day, evening, and night. Ability to see and read. Must possess a clear, pleasant and professional telephone voice and manner. Ability to hear and understand phone calls. Job Opening ID 197004
