Swimming Pool Complex Supervisor

About the role

This position supports the daily management and smooth operation of a major public swimming pool complex, helping ensure a safe, engaging, and well-maintained aquatic environment for the community.

Responsibilities

- Manage daily operations of the aquatic facility, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. - Directly supervise a seasonal team of 15–60 part-time staff, including lifeguards, instructors, and support personnel. - Plan and oversee routine maintenance activities such as cleaning, water quality control, and equipment checks (e.g., backwashing filters). - Organize and lead staff training and in-service sessions focused on fitness, safety, and emergency response preparedness. - Coordinate and supervise swim meets, special events, and community programs. - Handle administrative duties including staff scheduling and record keeping. - Serve as the primary point of contact for public relations and customer service, fostering a welcoming and professional atmosphere. - Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations governing aquatic facilities and personnel.
