Swim Team Coach
About the role
The Shady Grove Family YMCA is looking for an experienced, motivated, and reliable swim team coach to help mentor and encourage our swim team participants.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing workouts, instructions, motivation, and support to our swim team. Focus should be on creating a safe and fun environment. This position serves as the primary coach on deck during team practices and is expected to lead practices 2-4 nights a week.
Qualifications
- Current Professional CPR, AED and First Aid and YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification
- Ability to perform all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle)
- YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI, current O2 certification, and competitive swimming experience are desired
- Experience coaching and managing team practices several days a week
- Strong sense of teamwork and ability to collaborate with other coaches and team leaders

Pay
The pay range for this position is $15-$16 per hour based on experience & qualifications.
