Swim Pool Supervisor- Sussex YMCA Family Location

Essential Responsibilities

• Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency action plans and expectations within the written Aquatic Safety Plan
• Ensure compliance of all Ellis & Associates policies, procedures & best practices relating to lifeguard duties
• Document attendance & participation in required branch drills and ensure Ellis & Associates compliance by meeting regular in-service training and vigilance test compliance
• Act in a leadership role in the absence of Aquatic Leadership or Aquatic Supervisors
• Ensure all aquatic team members conduct & responsibilities occur as expected
• Support all aquatic team members with their regular duties and support difficult situations or medical emergencies
• Close the pool if conditions are unsafe
• Communicate regularly with Aquatic Leadership regarding any facility, member, or staff concerns
• Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• One year or more of lifeguard experience
• Must be able to obtain Ellis & Associates ILTP Lifeguard Certification and ability to hold necessary certifications for teaching swim lessons or coaching swim team
• Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software

Rate of pay

Rate of pay: $15.50 – $17.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
