Swim Instructor/Lifeguard - PAID TRAINING (part-time)
About the role
Works as part of a team to instruct children how to be safe in and around the water. Curriculum focuses on using fun and games to facilitate confidence and learning. Paid training provided. Participates in monthly team-building meetings and events to hone lifesaving skills and build workplace culture. This is a part-time job. After training, you may only receive between 4 to 12 hours a week once you've proven yourself to be a reliable team member, you can earn more shifts if you want them. Opportunities for professional development and bonuses are plentiful in this role! Goldfish Swim School follows all CDC and WHO safety standards along with following any local guidelines. While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
Responsibilities
- Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
- Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
- Evaluates students’ progress, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Interacts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills.
- Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure parental satisfaction.
- Uses problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
- Inspects pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues.
