Swim Instructor / Lifeguard

About the role

Swimtastic is actively recruiting individuals 16 and older to train as Swim Instructors using the Swimtastic® curriculum. The role focuses on teaching swimming skills in a fun, positive manner while instilling water safety, confidence, and a lifelong love of swimming in children. Opportunities exist for part-time hours (10–30 per week) with potential for growth within one of the fastest-growing swim school brands in the country. Shifts are available Monday through Sunday, both morning and evening.

Schedule

• 10–30 hours per week
• Days vary; open Monday through Sunday
• Both AM and PM shifts available

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills in accordance with the Swimtastic® curriculum in a fun, positive manner
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills
• Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start times
• Provide customers with monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during Splash ‘N Tell week

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to swim and a genuine love for working with children (absolute necessity)
• Reliable and dependable
• Previous swim instruction experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to obtain CPR-PR/AED and First Aid certification for adults, swimmers, and infants
• Training in the Swimtastic® curriculum will be provided

Pay

$15.00–$19.00 per hour, varying based on experience.
