Swim Instructor

Pay

$15‑$17 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Duties

• Lead swim lessons for program participants at the pool.
• Teach swimming skills, basic water safety, and YMCA core values to small groups of students.
• Use various tools and teaching techniques to engage learners of all ages.
• Maintain regular weekly hours and demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Preferred (but not required): current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor, or WSI certifications.
