Swim Instructor

About the role

Teach life-saving swim skills to students using the FOSS Swim Path curriculum in a safe and engaging environment. Engage with parents regarding student progress while maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1-4 students per class using hands-on instruction (following the FOSS Swim Path curriculum)
• Promote swimmer safety
• Ensure a safe, engaging, and educational experience for students, similar to working in daycare or childcare settings
• Engage with parents/guardians on swimmer progress
• Demonstrate the FOSS Cultural Pillars: Connect, Collaborate, Empower, Belong
• Bring FUN, energy, and connection to every lesson!

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old
• Comfortable working in a 91-degree, chlorinated indoor pool
• Able to lift/hold up to 50 lbs
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Experience with children preferred (aquatic experience a plus)

Pay

• $19.50+/hour
• +$3.00/hour for weekend shifts
• +$1.00/hour for substitute shifts

Schedule

• Part-time (3 shifts/week)
• Shift Type: 3-hour shifts
• Weekday Evening Shifts (starting at 3:30pm)
• Weekend Shifts (+ $3.00/hour)
• Substitute Shifts (+ $1.00/hour)
