SVP, Strategic Risk & Resilience Advisory Practice Leader
Responsibilities
- Create and execute a profitable business plan for the Strategic Resilience Advisory practice, including revenue growth, utilization, margin, and staffing models
- Own full P&L accountability for the practice, including forecasting, pipeline management, and operational performance
- Scale the practice from 4 to 10+ professionals within the first year through targeted hiring and capability development
- Serve as principal-in-charge on long-term, high-impact client engagements
- Position Strategic Resilience Advisory as a differentiated, market-leading consulting offering aligned with enterprise and societal risk trends
- Lead and grow a North America-based strategic resilience consulting practice aligned with the broader Resilience & Risk Consulting strategy
- Translate strategic objectives into executable business plans, including growth, pricing, utilization, and talent models
- Define and prioritize core resilience advisory offerings, frameworks, and industry focus areas
- Establish scalable delivery models and quality standards for complex, multi-year consulting engagements
- Client Engagement & Advisory Solution Development
- Lead strategic advisor to executives and boards across public and private sector clients
- Lead advisory engagements spanning:
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and strategic risk frameworks
- Organizational resilience and operating model design
- Business continuity and crisis preparedness
- Supply chain risk and resilience strategy
- Community-based and regional resilience initiatives
- Multi-peril and systemic risk analysis
- Infrastructure and critical systems resilience
- Design integrated resilience strategies that connect risk identification to actionable investment, governance, and operating decisions
- Ensure delivery of decision-ready insights, executive-level reporting, and measurable resilience outcomes
Qualifications
- Credible expertise in:
- Strategic risk frameworks and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
- Organizational and operational resilience
- Business continuity and crisis management
- Supply chain risk and resilience
- Community-based and regional resilience planning
- Multi-peril and systemic risk analysis
- Infrastructure and critical systems resilience
- Ability to translate complex risk concepts into executive-level business decisions
- Proven ability to build, scale, and lead high-performing consulting teams
- Strong business development and client relationship management capabilities
- Executive presence with board- and C-suite-level credibility
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial and financial acumen
- Track record of delivery excellence and profitable practice management
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPP, MS, or PhD) in business, public policy, engineering, economics, or related field
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in management consulting, strategic risk, resilience, or related advisory disciplines
- Minimum of 7 years in senior consulting leadership or partner-level roles with P&L responsibility
- Experience at top-tier management consulting firms or specialized resilience/risk advisory firms
- Demonstrated success building and scaling consulting practices toward $20M+ in revenue
- Deep experience leading long-term, complex client engagements with executive stakeholders
- Background serving infrastructure-intensive, regulated, or risk-exposed sectors
- Professional certifications or affiliations in risk, resilience, or continuity management
- Published thought leadership or frequent speaking on resilience, risk, or infrastructure topics
Pay Range
The pay range for the role is $225,000 to $285,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
