About the role

The Risk Leader Specialist oversees safety initiatives and achieves related outcomes throughout Highland Hospital. They collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership to create and implement multi-faceted projects aimed at improving patient safety.

Requirements

• Fulfill the educational requirements for a license or hold a graduate degree in Healthcare Administration
• Minimum 3 years of clinical or hospital experience
• Experience in risk management, patient relations, or quality improvement preferred
• Current NYS RN/PA license or a degree in Healthcare Administration
• Crisis intervention training certification within 6 months of hire required

Qualifications

• Quality improvement and/or patient safety background
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Familiarity with the clinical and functional operations of the emergency department
• Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and trend analysis
• Experience with grievance management systems and professional practice evaluation processes
• Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

Skills

Salary Range $37.50 - $51.26 an hour
