Responsibilities
- Lead a unit of Production Managers overseeing teams responsible for the pre-purchase review of correspondent residential mortgage loan files to ensure that the file contains all required documentation, meets acceptable regulatory standards, and complies with established guidelines prior to purchase.
- Drive your team to achieve productivity and quality goals.
- Constantly analyze current processes for ways to increase productivity and quality while cutting costs.
- Manage departmental service levels, production, and quality standards.
- Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLA), quality, and pipelines, while providing applicable reporting.
- Create and present relevant information (trends, accomplishments, opportunities, etc.) as needed for management meetings with peers and superiors.
- Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of related experience in Mortgage Operations or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Advanced Knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending; including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Intermediate to advanced experience with mortgage software (Encompass).
