This role reports directly to the SVP of Development and plays a key leadership role in the development executive team. Responsibilities

The primary focus of this position is to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donor prospects as well as lead and manage the major gifts team. This individual serves as a key member of the Moves Management team and is accountable for an assigned share of the Foundation's annual fundraising goals.

• Lead and manage the major gift team, including hiring and performance measurements.
• Set goals with major gift officers and track metrics to achieve the Foundation’s annual fundraising goals.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and prospects, working independently or with the Foundation President, Senior Vice President of Fundraising Development, and other staff.
• Serve as a key member of the Moves Management team.
• Develop and provide leadership for significant fundraising projects aligned with the system’s strategic goals.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Prospect Research to maintain a consistent major gift pipeline and manage portfolios.
• Explore and recommend marketing and communication strategies for prospective and current major gift donors.
• Work with the Director of Communications and other staff to develop, implement, and ensure major gift materials are consistent and effective.
• Administer and manage responsibilities, including working with volunteers, maintaining professional memberships, and accomplishing annual personal development goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in the identification, solicitation, and acquisition of major gift fundraising.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
