Switchcraft, Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of harsh environment circular connectors, cable assemblies, and interconnect solutions for industries including medical, industrial controls, transportation, and homeland security. We are located on the Northwest side of Chicago.
About the role
Sustaining Engineer responsible for maintenance, redesign, improvements, and general support for existing products, as well as designing and releasing custom customer products using current product families.
Responsibilities
- Work on several projects simultaneously through changing priorities
- Research the history and current state of product evolution
- Resolve production and customer concerns
- Implement product improvements
- Investigate new processes and materials
- Produce and maintain accurate project plans
- Create CAD models and drawings for components and assemblies
- Develop specification documents and perform design analysis (tolerance, FEA, FMEA)
- Prepare test documentation, product cost estimates, and Bills of Material
- Coordinate engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing
- Recommend parts, materials, and tooling
- Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing

100% on-site, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Pay
$70,000–$75,000 per year
