Sustaining Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, redesign, improvements and general support for existing products
• Designing and releasing custom customer products using current product families
• Researches the history and current state of the product evolution, resolution of production and Customer concerns
• Implementation of product improvements
• Investigation of new processes and materials
• Producing and maintaining accurate project plans
• Creating CAD models and drawings for components and assemblies
• Developing specification documents, design analysis (tolerance, FEA, FMEA)
• Preparing test documentation, product cost estimates, and Bills of Material
• Capturing and coordinating engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing
• Making recommendations for parts, materials and tooling
• Providing technical support to Sales/Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Purchasing

Requirements

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working with CAD software
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle
• Knowledge of FEA, FMEA, and tolerance analysis
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
