About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sustaining Engineer to join our dynamic team in the plastic manufacturing industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement and long-term success of our products and processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for existing plastic products and manufacturing processes to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, including troubleshooting equipment, materials, and process deviations.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address product and process failures.
- Maintain detailed documentation of engineering changes, process modifications, and troubleshooting activities.
- Support new product launches and process validations to ensure seamless integration into manufacturing.
- Monitor process performance metrics and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sustaining engineering within the plastics industry.
- Strong understanding of plastic materials, processing techniques, and manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
