Sustainability Operations Specialist

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, process, and prepare recyclable materials for shipment.
• Operate recycling equipment, including vertical hydraulic balers and associated material handling equipment.
• Monitor recycling collection points throughout the facility and maintain material flow.
• Cook up pickup schedules with recycling vendors and service providers.
• Verify material weights and maintain shipping documentation.

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow all company safety rules and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively across departments.

Physical Requirements

• Lift to 60 lbs. daily; occasional bending, squatting, pushing, sitting, and pulling.
• Able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and recycling equipment.
• Able to work in varying environmental conditions typical of a manufacturing facility; the majority of day is an outside environment.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school education or the equivalent.
• Requires 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous forklift experience with proven ability to safely operate large-capacity lifts.
• Experience maneuvering equipment in congested or restricted spaces.
• Specialized training in material handling.
• Ability to retrieve materials from assigned locations.
• Career Readiness Certification.

Specialized Training

• Must be able to get certified; a Forklift License is required.

Computer Equipment And Software Requirements

• OJT On-the-job training provided.
• RFGEN SCANNING.
