Position Responsibilities
- Cook up and oversee the gathering, amalgamation, and analysis of sustainability data, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, to aid in tracking, reporting, and business decisions.
- Execute sustainability strategies and major initiatives, like energy efficiency, circularity, and resource reduction.
- Lead and assist in the collection and execution of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data.
- Create and furnish precise and prompt sustainability reports, data summaries, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and supplementary documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with facilities, consultants, and internal stakeholders to monitor project milestones, timelines, and follow-up tasks.
- Develop and enhance procedures for organizing, validating, and preserving sustainability-related data and metrics.
- Present sustainability data, KPIs, initiatives, and project updates to internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Monitor facility-specific sustainability performance indicators and assist in implementing follow-up actions to guarantee progress towards objectives.
- Manage data validation, documentation, and quality control for sustainability and shared program metrics.
- Perform additional analysis, reporting, and related duties as directed.
Required Skills And Abilities
- A basic grasp of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies and related tools.
- A foundational comprehension of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and sustainability reporting principles.
- Knowledge of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
- A general understanding of environmental impacts, risk severity, and mitigation methods.
- A data-driven mindset with the capability to analyze information and support priorities with facts.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Beneficial Skills And Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental compliance, or a related role; experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Environmental/Industrial/Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
- A Master's degree in sustainability, environmental science, ESG, or a related field is preferred.
- A sustainability-related certification, such as LEED, GRI, SASB, or a comparable credential, is preferred.
