Responsibilities
- Support surveying team in execution of field survey projects under the direction of a survey party chief.
- Operate survey equipment and instruments including but not limited to: Total stations, GPS receivers, Data collectors, Drones, Levels.
- Keep neat and legible field notes and field sketches.
- Aid with other tasks that support the survey team including but not limited to: Equipment maintenance, Getting supplies, Document filing, Computer tasks.
- Assist with client deliveries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required.
- At least 0-5 years of relevant experience.
- Hand on experience with Trimble or AutoCAD highly preferred.
- Ability to travel out of town and overnight with all expenses covered.
- You may be asked to come into the Fort Worth office to assist a project manager within or out of the surveying department.
- Availability to cover overtime hours as needed.
- Basic mathematics skills are required, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.
- Must have a basic understanding of measurement.
- Must have a basic understanding of hand tools such as, but not limited to 3-5lb small hammers, 8-20lb sledge hammers, shovels and machetes.
- Good communication, writing, and organization skills necessary, including collaboration and coordination with senior staff and management and direction of support staff.
- Must be self-starting and willing to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- CST certified and interest in surveying is a definite plus, but not required.
