About the role

Join C.T. Male Associates, a multi-discipline surveying, engineering, and architectural firm in the Northeast, as a detail-oriented Survey Technician in our Latham, NY office. You’ll work on a wide variety of projects, using industry-leading technology and collaborating with experienced professionals on projects that help shape our communities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare boundary, topographic, utility, and other survey-related maps and exhibits.
  • Perform contour plotting and assist with data analysis.
  • Assist with preliminary boundary determinations under the guidance of Project Managers.
  • Prepare field crew worksheets and project support materials.
  • Conduct deed research and obtain survey-related information from municipalities, government agencies, utility companies, and other survey professionals.
  • Understand and protract deeds, maps, and easements with all proper notations.
  • Support field survey operations as needed, including preparation for field assignments.
  • Download and process GPS and field data collection information using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Requirements

  • A.A.S. Degree in Surveying Technology or certificate from college or technical school and three plus (3+) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience.
  • Complete understanding of surveying terminology.
  • Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret documents such as record plans and maps.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Health and Safety training is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.

Pay

$26.00 - $40.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
