Survey Technician – Rochester, Minnesota

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary and topographic surveys, platting, and construction staking for various private and public projects.
• Complete survey computations.
• Verify field dimensions and elevations to project plans.
• Operate survey equipment utilizing GPS, Total Station, and leveling instruments.
• Perform other survey-related duties primarily in the field.

Qualifications

• Required: 0 – 5+ years of field survey and GPS experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated math skills.
• Excellent computer and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to manage workload independently.
• Ability to: Perform physical tasks that may involve moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds, operate equipment and tools safely and effectively, remain in a stationary position and/or move about the work site, including standing, walking, bending, and climbing, for extended periods, work in varying outdoor weather conditions or environments.

Preferred

• Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Trimble equipment and software.
