Responsibilities
- Following company safety protocols, including state, federal, and site-specific regulations.
- Taking direction for the Survey Crew Chief and learning proper procedures for land surveying and mapping tasks for public and private clients.
- Training in the set up and operation of survey instruments, automated electronic data collection, GPS equipment, and other specialized equipment.
- Field work on a 2-person survey crew performing design topographical mapping, boundary, and right of way surveys.
- Adhering to Atlas workflows, standards, safety protocols, and procedures.
- Out of town/overnight travel as needed.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. and stand or walk for several hours (may occasionally encounter challenging terrain and weather conditions).
- This is a year-round outdoor position.
- Ability to start work early and work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to be on time at a variety of locations around the Puget Sound region.
- Ability to travel 75% or greater.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Assume personal responsibility for completing quality work.

Pay
The expected salary range for the position is $30-$34 hourly rate. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

This is a year-round outdoor position requiring flexibility to accommodate project demands and regional workloads.
