About the role
We are seeking a Survey Manager to lead our survey team and manage survey projects in our Chicago O’Hare office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in surveying and project management, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and IL PLS registration.
Responsibilities
- Leading the survey team and scheduling survey crews
- Pursuing prospective clients and survey assignments
- Increasing Net Revenue of Survey Department
- Preparation of survey documents, including Plats and Legals, and interfacing with design staff
- Managing survey projects (budgets, staffing, invoicing, contracts, etc.)
- Maintaining client contacts
- QA/QC of survey work
- Field work may be required
- Assisting other offices with survey tasks as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar capacity, surveying and managing projects with IDOT, City of Chicago, municipalities, and private developers
- IL PLS registration
- MicroStation and/or Civil3D experience preferred
- Experience with Trimble survey equipment/software a plus
- Proven track record in business development
- Prior management experience is preferred

The salary range for this position is $125,000-$150,000. (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience and skill set, as well as internal and external equity.)
