We are seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager with 7+ years of experience to join our team in the Austin, TX office. In this role, you will manage the execution of various public and private sector survey assignments, direct teams of technicians and field crews, and coordinate survey responsibilities with other discipline leads at WGI.
Responsibilities
- Direct assigned survey projects
- Perform project budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with field crews and technicians to establish project responsibilities and priorities
- Collaborate with other department and discipline leads on scheduling objectives and project milestones
- Perform boundary analysis for large-scale corridor, route, and land surveys
- Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey-related documents as the responsible professional in charge
- Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities, calculations, and project deliverables
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas
- 7+ years of experience in survey project management
- Strong technical skills, including experience with Civil3D
- Experience in right-of-way mapping, boundary surveying, topographic & tree surveys, construction staking, and title research
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

Physical Demands
- Work is performed in an office setting
- Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers, keyboards, and mice
- Use of telephone headsets for virtual communication (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- Prolonged sitting, use of hands/fingers to handle objects or tools, and reaching with hands and arms
- Ability to speak and hear clearly
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
