Survey Project Manager - PLS

About the role

GM2 is expanding our Survey Teams and has open Survey Project Manager positions in our New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island offices. The ideal candidate is a team player who will lead complex surveying projects across both design and construction phases within urban environments and large-scale infrastructure. They will thrive on precision, communicate with accuracy, and drive collaboration from proposal through delivery, working closely with clients, field crews, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage land surveying projects, budgets, and timelines
• Serve as primary client liaison and project lead
• Supervise field crews and ensure high-quality data collection
• Travel to field sites, including occasional out-of-state assignments
• Coordinate CAD workflows and data processing across multiple platforms
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of deliverables
• Mentor junior staff and foster team development
• Market services throughout the industry

Requirements

• Registered Land Surveyor license
• Valid driver’s license; additional state licenses a plus
• 6+ years of land surveying experience, including project management
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and MicroStation
• Experience with MassDOT, NHDOT, RIDOT, and VDOT projects
• Ability to drive future business through client relationships
• Strong leadership skills with a willingness to mentor crews and grow professionally
