Survey Project Manager
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Survey Project Manager to join our growing team of dedicated professionals. In this leadership role, you will bring your extensive experience in land surveying to oversee and guide a dynamic team of office and field staff.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of survey projects—boundary, topographic, construction, and more—ensuring all are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Daily interaction and coordination with the office Survey Team Manager
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project managers, project surveyors, CAD technicians, and field crews. Support and coach their technical growth and ensure team cohesion.
Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction, clarity in scope, and proactive communication. Writing proposals based on client request and requirements.
Technical Expertise: Oversee that survey practice and procedures are followed, quality control, compliance with state statutes and rules, municipal requirements and Galloway standards of practice. Provide strategic guidance on best practices.
Coaching: Act as a knowledge resource for junior staff, fostering development and knowledge sharing within the survey group.
Preferred Experience
Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), Deltek Vantagepoint
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, coach talent, and work cross-functionally with internal departments and external clients.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
A Colorado PLS license (preferred or ability to obtain)
A minimum of a high school diploma or technical school education in surveying technology—or equivalent experience
At least 5 years of experience in survey project management or leadership role
Pay
The estimated starting base salary for this role is $115,000 – $135,000.
