Survey Project Manager
About The Role
You bring deep expertise in the principles and practices of land surveying, including a solid understanding of equipment use, easements, and the research involved in property and boundary determination. You've likely spent over a decade immersed in the field, developing a sharp eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
You are a seasoned leader capable of guiding both field crews and office teams through the complex world of surveying. You're no stranger to AutoCAD Civil 3D and other specialized survey software, using these tools to create and oversee survey drawings, boundary computations, topographical data, ALTA surveys, and construction layouts.
- Manage project schedules and budgets
- Ensure field crews have all necessary calculations, alignments, and digital files
- Prepare and review construction as-builts
- Mentor and coach junior staff
- Prepare and deliver proposals
- Determine type of survey needed based on project requirements
- Analyze specific requirements of the site or project
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders
- Communicate technical execution with strategic vision
- Occasionally travel into the field
Qualifications
- A PLS license or the ability to obtain one in a year (required)
- A minimum of a high school diploma or technical school education in surveying technology—or equivalent experience
- At least 2-5 years of experience in survey project management or leadership
Pay
The estimated starting base salary for this role is $115,000-135,000. Beyond Base Salary
