About the role

As a Survey Party Chief, you will take ownership of field surveying activities on a wide range of projects, including construction staking, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys. Working alongside a collaborative team of survey professionals, you will leverage modern survey technology and established field practices to collect accurate data and deliver high-quality results for our clients.

Beyond field operations, you'll have opportunities to expand your technical expertise through project research, boundary analysis, project planning, and coordination with office staff and project teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of fieldwork and technical problem-solving, takes pride in precision and quality, and is interested in sharing knowledge with and mentoring developing survey professionals. You work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead field surveying activities for construction staking, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
• Collect accurate data using modern survey technology and established field practices.
• Perform project research, boundary analysis, and project planning.
• Coordinate with office staff and project teams.
• Mentor developing survey professionals.

Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in land surveying.
• Experience with construction staking, boundary surveys, topography surveys, and ALTA surveys is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving history.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
