Responsibilities

• Supervise Survey Crew
• Keep field notes
• Communicate with office staff
• Train subordinates
• Operate robotic instrument, total station, data collector, GPS (fast static, RTK, and VRS), and autolevel
• Download data into computers each night

Requirements

• 4+ years overall survey experience
• 4+ years survey party chief experience
• Experience with ALTA, topographic surveys, and construction surveys
• FDOT survey and SUE experience a plus
• Valid Driver’s License
• Good work ethic and willingness to travel nationally as projects require
• Reliability and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work more than 40 hours a week as necessary
• Ability to travel up to 12 days as projects dictate

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
• High school Diploma/GED
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment

Skills

• Knowledge of field equipment operation
• Strong communication and field note-taking skills
• Good math skills
• Ability to work as a one-person crew when necessary
