Survey Party Chief

Overview (Archer Wright JV) is seeking a Party Chief for the TSENC/I-26 Downtown Connector project in Asheville, NC. The Party Chief supervises survey crew members and performs topography surveys, field layout, and coordination with the jobsite survey manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field surveying tasks such as topography, field layout, boundary layout, and data collection
• Coordinate with survey manager (who may be offsite) and project management staff for daily operations
• Provide care for survey equipment and understand usage of data collection equipment and technology upgrades
• May be required to work as a one-person crew
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• 3-5 years of verifiable experience preferred
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Good manual dexterity; may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
