Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is searching for a Survey Office Technician to join our dynamic team in St. Louis, MO. This position will be at the forefront of diverse projects, assisting in the preparation of topographic, boundary, ALTA, and cadastral surveys. You will process and build spatial data collected through drone flights, scanning, LiDAR, and other sources, with on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

Prepare topographic surfaces, contouring, spot elevation labeling, and surface analysis for accuracy.
Review legal descriptions and draft property boundaries, easements, bearings, and distances.
Raise awareness about boundary, easement, and parcel data.
Prepare data and detailed base-files for use by Project Managers in Survey, Civil, and other practices.
Conduct survey research related to deeds and plats for property boundary surveys.
Process and interpret data using surveying software applications.
Upload and download data from field data collectors.
Perform surface clean-up and modeling in AutoDesk Civil3D.
Import point clouds using AutoDesk Recap.
Process drone data using PIX4D.
Operate motorized equipment and work outdoors under various field conditions.

Requirements

5+ years of related survey experience (field/office).
Demonstrated experience with AutoDesk Civil3D, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office products.
Valid driver’s license required.
Sufficient physical stamina for outdoor fieldwork.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC).
Familiarity with AutoDesk Recap for point cloud imports.
PIX4D drone processing experience.
