Survey Field Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Survey Field Technician to join our team in Wake Forest, NC. This role will assist with planning and organizing survey field activities, including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography for various project types. You will also document all phases of survey work completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform field assignments including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography for various project types.
• Collect and process field measurements and data for engineering and surveying projects.
• Operate survey instruments (e.g., Total Stations, Data Collector, levels, and GPS equipment) and resolve operational issues.
• Research existing survey and engineering records.
• Organize and transfer files between data collectors and internal project folders.
• Travel frequently to work sites and other project-related locations.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Land Surveying Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or 3 years of relevant surveying experience.
• Ability to perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Trimble equipment and software.
• Experience working in CAD and survey software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation).
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
