Responsibilities
- Work independently or as part of a two-person survey crew to complete field surveying assignments.
- Perform right-of-way, design, and construction surveys for highway, municipal, and roadway projects.
- Lead and execute field operations, including work planning, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
- Manage survey activities and collaborate effectively with project teams and construction contractors to support successful project delivery.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two-year degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction surveying, including topographic, boundary, and right-of-way surveys.
- Experience operating Trimble GPS and robotic surveying equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods of time, and to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Able to travel for projects.
- A valid Driver’s License, with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to perform civil engineering technician and CADD work while not engaged in survey work.
Salary Range
Salary Range: $85,400 - $120,000
Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
