Survey Crew Chief II

About the role

The Survey Crew Chief II position involves leading a two-or three-person surveyor field crew to accurately and efficiently perform field surveys in support of land development, transportation, utility, energy, and land surveying projects using conventional, GPS, or terrestrial laser scanning methodology.

Responsibilities

• Leading a two-or three-person surveyor field crew
• Performing topographic surveys, TxDOT, ALTA and boundary surveys, or construction staking
• Hands-on experience with Trimble GPS and/or Conventional equipment
• Lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
• Meticulous attention to detail and keen eye for accuracy
• Exceptional capacity to grasp new learning material
• Strong willingness to comply with specific instructions
• Proficient in modern means of communication and effective use of smart portable devices
• Adhere to Halff and client safety standards
• Excellent physical condition to perform field work, outdoors, in various conditions including extreme heat, cold, and wind
• Access and navigate job sites and construction areas

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Crew Chief performing topographic surveys, TxDOT, ALTA and boundary surveys, or construction staking
• Valid Texas Driver's License
• Physical capabilities to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Meticulous attention to detail and keen eye to promote and ensure accuracy

Qualifications

• Must be local or within reasonable proximity to the Richardson/Dallas area

Skills

• Ability to pass a drug and background screen

Pay

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Travel generally required for position, up to 50% per month.
