Survey Crew Chief
About the role
SEH is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our talented Geospatial Data Services team. This position will be based in the Western Slope, Priority Areas: Grand Junction to Glenwood corridor, Montrose to Grand Junction, or North of the Grand Junction/Glenwood corridor.
Responsibilities
- Perform Control, Boundary and Topographic Surveys
- Create Right of Way Plans
- Use Trimble data collectors
- Use drone's and 3D scanning technology
Requirements
- Previous Survey experience, including field experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting SEH’s requirements
- Ability to work 10-12 hour days in remote or rural areas
- Ability to work outside in various conditions
- Willingness to work out of town/travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of CDOT procedures and standards including Right-of-Way plan production
- Proficient with the use of Trimble data collectors, Trimble GPS, Trimble robotic total stations and Trimble Business Center
- Ability to apply principles and practices of land surveying
- Ability to understand and decipher horizontal/vertical datums and coordinate systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong math skills
Benefits

This position requires flexible hours to accommodate project needs.

Skills
Strong attention to detail, strong math skills, proficiency with Trimble data collectors, and ability to apply principles of land surveying are preferred.
