Survey CAD Technician

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician in our Charleston office. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and growing Engineering, Surveying, and Planning firm.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey computations and platting
• Prepare and organize field sketches and digital photographs
• Complete daily checklists and submit daily files, including downloading of data
• Work may be performed in the field

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in land surveying preferred
• Land development survey experience required; emphasis on land development projects a plus
• Experience with survey computations, platting, and field experience
• Proficiency in downloading data, organizing files, and using Microsoft Word & Excel
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and maintain a satisfactory driving record

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field preferred (not required)
• Registration as a Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) preferred (not required)
• Strong self-motivational and organizational skills

Skills

• Civil 3D 2016 or higher (preferred)
• Google Earth (preferred)
• Trimble Business Center (preferred)
• Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations (preferred)
