Survey CAD Technician

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Serve as a Survey CADD Operator.
• Perform office duties such as data reduction, field‑note reduction, calculations, data checks, and staking computations using survey computer programs and IntelliCAD.
• Produce daily CADD output for Boundary, Topographic, and House Location Surveys.
• Draft Grading Plans, Easement Plats, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys.
• Use Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD (primary) and GIS (secondary).
• Demonstrate attention to detail, self‑motivation, and critical thinking.
• Perform mathematical calculations and verify field data.
• Read and understand plans and specifications.
• Know basic sources of measurement errors.
• Maintain a basic understanding of geometry and grading.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a background in math, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience working in a civil engineering environment.
• Proficiency with Carlson Civil Suites and IntelliCAD.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication abilities.
• Consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug testing.
