About the role
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our Survey Team in Georgetown, TX. This role supports survey assignments by processing field data, preparing mapping products, completing boundary-related calculations, and assisting with drawings.
Responsibilities
- Process field survey data using geospatial and CADD software to support accurate survey plans, drawings, and mapping deliverables
- Auxiliary with boundary calculations, digital terrain models/contours, written boundary descriptions, and finished mapping products for a variety of project sites
- Support record research efforts related to boundary, utility, and site information
- Apply knowledge of field survey operations, survey equipment, data collection methods, and related procedures to support project needs
- Develop a stronger understanding of boundary determination processes, site design concepts, and municipal and/or state regulations that may affect survey deliverables
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of related survey experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD design software required; MicroStation and InRoads experience preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Working knowledge of the surveying industry, including field survey operations, survey equipment, and data collection processes
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions, including navigating rough or uneven terrain as needed
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to travel short-term preferred
- NSPS-CST Level II certification and LSIT preferred
Qualifications
